Sunwait Ritual Kit: Six Weeks of Candlelight - Reflection and the Returning Sun

What is Sunwait?

Sunwait is a modern seasonal practice inspired by Heathen traditions. It involves lighting a candle each week in the weeks leading up to the Winter Solstice, gradually increasing the light as the darkest part of the year approaches.

The practice commonly follows the first six runes of the Elder Futhark, with each week offering an opportunity to reflect on a different theme. It can be observed as a spiritual ritual, a pagan devotional practice or simply a meaningful way to mark the changing seasons.

There is no requirement to follow a particular deity, religion or spiritual tradition. The ritual can be adapted to suit your own beliefs.
